What this site is, and what you may do with it

Last updated 27 August 2026

Read it, argue with it, quote it. There is nothing here to buy and nothing to sign up for.

This site is an argument about how children should be taught, published as one page of writing. You do not need an account to read it, because there is no account. Nothing on this domain is for sale, so nothing on this page is about money.

You are welcome to quote the writing, link to it, and use it in a conversation with a school or another parent. What we ask is that you not pass it off as your own and not republish it wholesale. That is most of what follows.

Who these terms are with

This site is published by Chen-kuo Chou (ABN 12 167 336 639), in Australia. "We" and "us" on this page mean that person.

"Human Before AI" is the name we publish under. It is not a company, and we do not describe it as a registered business name — an application to register it is with ASIC and has not been approved. If you need to reach a person, the address is [email protected].

Nothing here is for sale

There is no price on this site, no checkout, no subscription and no account to create. We do not take payment on this domain, so there is nothing here to cancel and nothing to refund.

We make two other things, and they are named on the front page. They are separate from this site: they have their own terms, and those are the ones that apply once you are there. Nothing you agree to here follows you to them.

If that changes — if this site ever sells something — it will come with terms of sale and a refund policy written for it, and this page will say so. Until then, a term about buying would be describing something that does not exist.

Using the writing

The words, the typography, the wordmark and the video on this site are ours. You may read them, quote them with attribution, and link to any page here — including in a letter to a school, a post, or an article.

What we ask you not to do: republish a page in full somewhere else, present the writing as your own, use the name or the wordmark in a way that suggests we endorse something we have not seen, or run automated collection over the site at a rate that costs us money to serve.

What this page is not

This is an argument, not advice. It is not educational, psychological, medical or legal advice about a particular child, and it has not been through peer review. We believe what we have written and we have said where it comes from, but you know your child and we do not.

We do not promise an outcome. Nothing here should be read as a guarantee that a child who is taught this way will do better at school, at anything else, or at life.

The site itself

We make no promise that this site is always available or always current. It is a set of static files on a host, and hosts go down. We may change what is on it, or take a page away, without notice.

If a link here takes you somewhere we do not run, we are not responsible for what is there.

If something goes wrong

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be contracted out of. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, we do: to the fullest extent permitted, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site.

These terms are governed by the law of South Australia, Australia, and the courts there are the ones that hear a dispute about them.

Changes to this page

If what this site is changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We do not keep a version you agreed to on file, because there is no account and nothing here to agree to — the version that applies is the one published when you read it.
